About the Role
<p>You will be involved in varied areas of civil engineering: major earthworks, drainage, structures (under-bridges, over-bridges, viaducts) and energy sector projects. The apprenticeship will include day release to university to gain a degree in civil engineering, professional membership qualifications and on the job training.</p>
Civil Engineers Apprentices provide support to Civil Engineers who design, build and manage construction projects with our design teams.
Some of the activities could be:
- Assist in the control of sites to ensure work is conducted safely, effectively and to the correct quality and standards
- Understand and integrate design information to ensure it is fit for purpose
- Assist and contribute to planning and setting up of work sites
- Assist in the monitoring and control of contract works and understand how to implement corrective action when required
- Assist in preparation of material requirements, prepare orders, monitor supply and maintain records
- You will be based on a construction site and PPE use will be required for site visits
- UK clean drivers license
- Taylor Woodrow Apprenticeship Scheme has been designed kick start your journey towards becoming an industry expert
- You will get hands on experience and tailored training to support you every step of the way
- You will be enrolled to our bespoke Engineering Development Scheme programme, which will support your progression towards becoming a Site Engineer
