About the Role

Bowson Industries (Part of House of Play) are recruiting for an Apprentice Assembler. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 2 Furniture Manufacturer apprenticeship over the duration of 24 months.

• Safe general operation and use of in-house hand tools.
• Upholstering methods in covering board and foam-based products with vinyl.
• Work to production schedule using web-based T card system. Maintaining high standards at all times.
• Operation of various semi - automatic saw machines
• Interpret drawings to acquire correct sizes, cut-out requirements and orientations of products.
• Maintain quality checks to ensure products are of a high standard.
• Basic wood carcass assembling.
• Ensure volume of work matches needs of the business.
• Gain an exceptional knowledge of the products and how they are manufactured.
• Be self-reliant on tasks.
• Follow work plans exactly (Drawings and T cards)
• Constantly look to improve quality of products.
• Keep yourself updated on our policies and procedures through the online portal.
