About the Role

Have you completed your first year of training and looking for the next step? CTL Seal are looking for an apprentice to join their friendly team in Sheffield to continue their training on the Machining Technician Level 3 apprenticeship. You will be working as part of a fast-paced and forward thinking organisation and will gain invaluable support.

General duties including:  

  • Working to company documentation 
  • Selecting and mounting correct machine tools 
  • Securing work pieces securely prior to operating machines  
  • Set up the machines in accordance with instructions and specifications 
  • Operate machine to produce components in line with specifications Load and prove machine tool programmes on CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine tools in accordance with approved procedures
  • Prepare, set up and operate CNC turning, milling and grinding machines
  • Quality assurance is the product's machined
  • Adhering to the health and safety procedure
You must be able to travel to and from work and college. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a higher-level apprenticeship or full-time employment for the right candidate.

About the Training

Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer.  

Day release.   

You will undertake the Machining Technician standard.
