About the Role
Working in a small doctors practice. You will provide administration services at the surgery. Be part of a team providing an efficient reception and administrative service to colleagues, patients and visitors to the surgery. You will never be left alone in the surgery.
- Serve patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling
- Appointments, and maintaining records and accounts
- Welcome patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and
- Answering or referring inquiries
- Optimise patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room
- Utilisation by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone
- Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays
- Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records
- Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
- Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical and personal information
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- To provide and maintain excellent levels of customer service, providing a prompt and efficient response to enquiries
- Scanning and filing of documents
- Processing of emails
You must be able to travel to and from work and college. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
- Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a higher-level apprenticeship or full-time employment for the right candidate
About the Training
- You will be enrolled at Rotherham College; giving you the training and support you need to become an all-rounded and qualified administrator
- You would have regular on line tutor sessions and constant access to support
- You will undertake The Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
