About the Role
You will be joining a welcoming, supportive, training practice who always looks to improve and further train its staff.
- Providing an effective & efficient reception service to patients and visitors
- Dealing with general enquiries, explaining procedures & making new & follow-up appointments
- Contacting patients to arrange medication reviews, minor operations & chronic disease reviews
- Using your own judgment and communication skills ensure that patients with no prior appointment but who need urgent consultation are seen in a logical & non-disruptive manner
- Receiving & making phone calls, diverting calls & taking messages, ensuring accuracy of detail
- Actioning repeat prescription requests & ensuring they are sent electronically via EPS within 48 hours
- Advising patients of relevant charges for private services, accepting payments & issuing receipts
- Filing & retrieving paperwork, inputting data onto Electronic Patient Record
- Scanning letters & relevant correspondence into patient’s notes, summarising patient’s notes when requested
- Carrying out searches, audits & recalls as required by the clinical team & managers
- Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training

About the Training
Working towards your Business Admin Level 3 Qualification, you’ll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month - NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about the modules. You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.
