Join Jordans Solicitors LLP as an Administrative Apprentice and gain practical experience across Probate, Conveyancing, Litigation and Administration. You will support a friendly and professional team with reception, correspondence, archiving and everyday office based tasks, while completing your level 2 qualification.

We are looking for two professional and enthusiastic individuals to join our team while studying to achieve their level 2 qualification. Candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, strong communication skills, attention to detail, confidence using computers and show a willingness to learn. This role would be ideally suited school leavers, and their general duties will include:

  • Providing reception with support, welcoming visitors and handling telephone/email enquiries in a professional manner
  • Sending routine emails and correspondence under supervision
  • Archiving, filing and retrieving paper and electronic documents securely
  • Entering, updating and retrieving information using office systems and digital records
  • Supporting colleagues in Probate, Conveyancing, Litigation and Administration departments with routine office tasks
  • Preparing, scanning, copying and organising documents while maintaining client confidentiality
  • Preparing daily tasks with a supervisor and reporting queries or issues promptly

Please note this is not an exhausted list of duties.

Applicants must be able to travel to the Doncaster office and to Doncaster College reliably and within a reasonable commute time. Travel to Kiveton Park branch also is required, travel to be reimbursed.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that forms part of their apprenticeship. The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage guide is updated every April (ANMW):

We need to ask all applicants whether they have any relevant criminal convictions and or pending investigation as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Relevant meaning offences against a person, whether violent or sexual, offences involving drugs or controlled substances, or theft.

A declaration of a relevant Criminal Conviction will result in a Risk Assessment being carried out to determine whether the applicant poses a risk to the welfare or safety of others. This does not include warnings, cautions, reprimands and (for example) speeding fines/points.

A YES ANSWER DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY EXCLUDE YOUR APPLICATION.

Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to continued employment in an administrative role or progression to the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship for the right candidate.
