About the Role

As an Apprentice Playworker your role will be to provide our children with a range of exciting play activities that develop them as individuals and foster their personal development in line with our whole-school ethos. You will work under the guidance of our team to undertake a range of roles during our school day.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and supportive Apprentice Playworker with a commitment to ensuring that children achieve their potential. The successful candidate will join a team of talented and dedicated staff and will be supported by inspiring mentors who have extensive experience in supporting trainees.  The role is split into three basic parts:

●      Supporting and organising play at lunchtime.

●      Working in a range of classes supporting specific learners across the school.

●      Working in our After School Club providing play opportunities - this means working into the early evening with a later start to the working day.

Possible opportunity to progress into further training and full-time employment should a suitable vacancy arise.

About the Training

Level 2 Playworker, which includes:

  • Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Apprenticeship standard - Playworker
  • Training will be delivered both on site and at our training centre on a regular basis.
