About the Role
Working under the direction and guidance of an experienced tradesperson to become proficient as a floorer and gain the relevant qualifications to meet the guidelines and achieve the Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard.
Assist mentor in completing various flooring tasks including:
- Preparation
- Gluing out
- Protecting
- Loading out
- Vinyl floor
- Carpet tile
- Sheet carpet installatio
- Ensure that all tasks are carried out in line with manufacturers specifications, drawings, Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental policies
- Learn to measure and cut flooring materials accurately, according to specification
- Apply finishing touches such as edging, trim and sealants to complete the flooring installation
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by setting up and dismantling workspaces as needed

About the Training
Level 2 Floorlaying Apprenticeship standard delivered on a block release basis with CP Assessments.
