About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our Service Desk team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to start their career in IT, gain hands-on experience, and develop essential technical skills.

  • Assist in the installation and configuration of computer operating systems and applications
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and support tasks under supervision
  • Prepare, pack, and ship IT equipment to clients or end-users
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software deployments
  • Provide friendly and professional assistance to users via email, phone, and ticketing systems
  • Work closely with the Service Desk team to learn and develop troubleshooting skills
  • Follow IT processes and procedures to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Keep up to date with IT industry developments and actively participate in training
  • Possible career progression

About the Training

  • Delivery to be completed on-site and off-the-job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work
  • Student to complete an Information Communication Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship
