About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking Teaching & Learning Team at the forefront of digital innovation. You will play a key role in supporting the development of high-quality, digitally enhanced learning across the college, working with staff and students to embed effective use of everyday technologies.

  • Support the Teaching & Learning Team to enhance the learning experience through effective use of digital technologies
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and managers to promote the consistent and effective use of digital tools within teaching, learning and assessment
  • Support the exploration and promotion of emerging digital technologies and approaches, including AI, immersive learning and interactive platforms
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on the use and impact of digital technologies across the curriculum
  • Support the setup, maintenance and effective use of digital and immersive equipment, working with IT services to ensure resources are available, safe and fully operational
  • Contribute to the development and organisation of digital resources, systems and platforms to support both learning and administrative processes

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required

About the Training

  • Delivery to be completed on-site and 6 hours per week off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work
  • Student to complete an Advanced Digital Support Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
