Finance Apprentice
DOORDEALS LTD
About the Role
Doordeals is a successful, established business with a friendly, down-to-earth team and a real focus on doing things properly.
We’re now looking for a Finance Apprentice to join the business and learn the foundations of a busy finance function while working towards your apprenticeship qualification.
No two days will look exactly the same, but your typical week could include:
- Scanning and inputting purchase invoices
- Coding invoices and allocating them to the correct ledger accounts
- Sending invoices to account customers
- Checking supplier invoices against delivery notes
- Checking prices against supplier price lists and identifying any discrepancies
- Assisting with bank reconciliations
- Reconciling supplier statements and helping investigate any differences
- Keeping finance records and systems accurate and up to date
- Supporting the wider team with general finance and office duties
- Learning more about the finance function and taking on additional responsibilities as your knowledge develops
You’ll have support around you while you learn, but we’ll also encourage you to ask questions, use your initiative and understand why you’re doing something rather than simply following a process.
You may be considered for a full-time permanent role upon successful completion.
About the Training
An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be expected to work towards the Finance Apprenticeship Level 2, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.
