Accounts Apprenticeship

• Daily reconciliation of bank accounts, supplier statements, and company credit cards
• Processing supplier invoices, including matching them to purchase orders and delivery notes, resolving pricing/quantity issues, and processing credit notes
• Raising supplier payments via online banking and sending remittance advice
• Chasing unreconciled and historic outstanding items
• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, year-end accounts, and quarterly VAT returns
• Managing and maintaining accurate financial records using Xero accounting
• Maintaining the product cost file and implementing the soft drinks industry levy within Xero
• Assisting with monthly stock counts and providing ad hoc financial support to the line manager
• Serving as a point of contact for inbound telephone calls and email enquiries, liaising with logistics planning for customer service
• Processing customer orders, including communicating requirements across teams
• Supporting decisions related to customer credit limits, payment terms, and new account applications
• Preparing regular customer invoicing and financial reports for internal stakeholders
• General office duties, including processing and packing online orders

The successful candidate will undertake a full review of their existing skills versus what is required in their new role. First Intuition will then advise on the best apprenticeship programme for them. This will be a structured AAT Apprenticeship programme at Level 3.

A blend of classroom and online training will support the candidate to achieve a well-recognised accountancy qualification which will both help with their new role and potentially lead on to further study.
