Health and Safety Apprentice

• Engaging in Health and Safety training and job shadowing with the Health & Safety Inspectors to develop expertise in the field and put the knowledge gained into practice
• Work to the criteria of the Level 3, Safety, Health and Environment Technician
• Collaborating with colleagues and management to foster a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation
• Maintaining records on Health and Safety Inspections, Fire Risk Assessments, RIDDOR reports and training activities
• Assist in reviewing and updating health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards
• Produce documents, reports, and presentations for the Health and Safety Team and Senior Management
• Input health and safety related actions on the Incident Reporting platform ‘RADAR’
• Attend health and safety meetings, set agendas, take minutes, log and track actions arising
• Perform other ad hoc administrative duties as assigned
• Liaise with the other members of the Health and Safety Team and the wider organisation with regards to health and safety
• Ensure confidentiality of all information.

• Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will gain a Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician qualification
• Your training will primarily be on-the-job training as well as attending online webinars
• Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
